Shoulder flashes may be purchased for $5 – cash or cheque to our main address only. Those from other Departments may be traded if not already in our collection.

Q.  Where is the courthouse and Crown Counsel office?

They are situated right next to each other, at 310 Ward Street and 320 Ward Street, respectively.

Q.  Where is the towing yard?

The towing yard is operated by Western Auto Wreckers, 2374 Granite Road, Nelson (250-354-4802) and is 4 km from police headquarters.

 

Q.  Where is the fire department?

The Nelson Fire Department is situated at 919 Ward Street, Nelson (non-emergency 250-352-3103).

Q. What is required for a criminal records check?

At least two pieces of identification, personal appearance at the Public Information Counter, and the fee: Employment $50, Student $25, Volunteer - Free.

Q.  How do I apply for a pardon?

You can attend in person and pick up a pamphlet to submit to Canadian Pardon Services at the Public Information Counter. Also, you can apply on-line at www.CanadianPardons.ca or by telephone at 1.800.298.5520.
