Skate Lessons will be held every Monday from 5-6pm with coach Ty Smith and every Thursday from 5-6pm with coach Brandon Schmidt. 

Take your skateboarding to the next level. Work on your flip tricks, grinds, bowl skating, or perfecting your ollie!

Meet your Coach:

Ty Smith is a passionate, kind and experienced skateboard coach now based in Nelson, BC. Over the last decade Ty has been an advocate for skateboarding and skateparks across the Kootenay's. Ty, a local school teacher, has taught skateboarding to students in the Slocan Valley, Salmo and Nelson area. 

Ty was the Coordinator/Coach of Castlegar's Summer at the Skatepark Program. Recently, Ty assisted Trail and Creston Recreation to create their own free drop in learn to skate programs. Ty is super excited to bring his skills to the NDYC for beginner skaters one night a week.

Beginner skate lessons are offered Mondays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
